Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Which vehicles can be modified?

Compatibility depends on the type of solution, the available space, the vehicle’s structure, and the scope of the conversion. In general, we work with SUVs, vans, minivans, pickup trucks, and some sedans, but final validation is always performed on a per-vehicle basis.

Does TSN sell the product, or does it also modify the vehicle?

TSN doesn't just recommend the solution. It also designs and carries out the vehicle conversion to ensure that the BraunAbility system is integrated safely, functionally, and ready for use.

How much weight can these solutions support?

Capacity varies by system. Turny Evo is designed for users weighing up to approximately 160 kg; Carony supports users weighing up to 120 kg in the available model; Chair Topper is compatible with folding chairs weighing up to approximately 45 lbs; Carolift 100 can lift between 80 and 100 kg. The final configuration is determined on a case-by-case basis and by vehicle.

How do I know which solution I need?

It depends on three main factors: whether or not the person can transfer themselves, what type of wheelchair they use, and which vehicle will be modified. That’s why we offer an assessment and a guidance quiz to help identify the most suitable option.

Do I need to already own the vehicle to request information?

Not necessarily. We can help you determine in advance which type of unit and scope of installation would be best for you. Final compatibility is confirmed once we inspect the specific vehicle.

Is installation included?

TSN's proposal includes the conversion/modification of the vehicle and the integration of the system. The exact scope of the installation depends on the product, the vehicle, and the necessary accessories.

Can I use these solutions if I’m a caregiver for someone with limited mobility?

Yes. Several solutions are designed to reduce the physical strain on the caregiver, especially when moving or transferring a patient involves repetitive movements or the risk of injury.

Do you serve institutions, hospitals, or government agencies?

Yes. TSN can provide services for institutional projects, accessibility programs, assisted transportation, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and fleets.

How long does the process take?

The timeframe depends on system availability, the complexity of the conversion, and the vehicle. After assessing and verifying compatibility, TSN can provide you with an estimated timeframe for delivery and installation.

What information do you need to evaluate my case?

Ideally, we should know the type of user, whether they are able to transfer or not, what type of wheelchair they use, what vehicle they own or plan to purchase, and, when applicable, photos or a video of the vehicle’s interior and exterior.

What if my vehicle isn't compatible?

If the initial solution isn't compatible, we can recommend an alternative, suggest a different type of conversion, or tell you what features a compatible unit should have.

What will the user experience be like after the update?

The goal is to make getting in and out of, transferring to, and maneuvering the wheelchair safer, more comfortable, and more predictable. The overall experience depends on the solution chosen, the vehicle, and the user’s level of mobility.
